One is to continue in protected mode and if I leave that option checked, again, nothing happens. I get another window and it then gives me three options. I choose to run it with protected mode off. I leave it in protected mode and nothing happens as before. I say yes and finally, I get a box that says it can't be opened because it's running in protected mode. The same result happens when I try to open Adobe Reader with the start menu.īut finally, when I go to the application in Windows Explorer, right click and choose run as administrator, I get the Window that asks me if I want to allow the app to make changes. The same result happens when I double-click to open the Adobe Reader application in program files. The same result happens when I right-click the pdf file and choose Adobe to open it. Nothing opens, no error code appears, and absolutely nothing happens. If you come to this point, all of Acrobat is working as it should and the rest is accessory. If it does not open, we need to get the error message. If it opens, Acrobat is working as it should. Go to File -> open, and look for a PDF file. I assume Acrobat started and is showing the starting screen. Resolution of that will depend on the error message you get. If it start not, you have a basic problem with Acrobat. When Acrobat started, Acrobat is basically working on your computer.
